The JSMethod
Created by Professional Dancer, Choreographer, and Instructor Julie Simon
The JSMethod is an extensive dance training program. Drawing on kaleidoscopic roots and diverse technical platforms of Brazilian, African, and Contemporary movement, the aim of the JSMethod is to fuse multiple perspectives of dance to create a unique energetic expression.The Requiring execution of movement that is both grounded and voluminous, it challenges dancers to push beyond the confines of any one traditional technique or thought pattern, expand their dance vocabulary, and explore how they can fully embody their own individual expression and bring their true essence forward to engage in the joyous celebration of dance.
The JSMethod takes dancers beyond movement, physically and mentally.

Hi! I'm Julie Simon
I am 54. I dance full out, full time. I celebrate and honor the divine feminine at
any age, from the babes to the elders.
My practice, my art, my teaching and my repertoire impart joy, vigor and
vitality utilizing dance + music.
I dance I drum I empower.
I am words demonstrated.
My work transcends current circumstance.
My work is in the intimate.
My work incites unique energetic expression.
A move is a move is a move.
A phrase is a phrase is a phrase.
Techniques are taught.
Steps are learned and require a dedicated practice.
BUT
What also requires and deserves dedicated practice is developing our own
unique feeling our own unique expression.
